This sand/salt mixture will be available to Town residents on a first come basis. The Highway Department also makes a sand/salt mixture available to Town residents during winter months. This Code makes sure the roadways are clear so we can safely plow and do our jobs in an efficient manner.įree Sand/Salt mix available to Town Residents: We ask residents to remember the Town Code that prohibits them from parking in the roadways from November 1 st until April 1st. The safety of our residents is our number one concern. The Highway Department is on call 24 hours a day to be sure to clear roadways during snow or ice storms. In the Winter, it is our number one priority to be sure our roadways are safe. Mulch and compost are given out on a first come, first serve basis. Look for it in separate piles behind the Highway gates. In the early months of Spring, the Highway Department supplies mulch and compost to Town of Milton residents free of charge.
